Christ Church:
This landmark building of Shimla was built during the period of 1846-1857. This church is second oldest church of north India. The European architecture and a colorful stained glasses are fitted in its window make this church a must visit tourist site.
Jakhu Temple:
An ancient Hanuman temple is situated at the altitude of 8084 ft. The temple is situated only 45 minutes distance from Shimla and one can borrow pony or taxi to reach the temple. From here a splendid view of snowcapped picks and city’s impression can catch.
Himachal state museum and library:
The museum one of the most visited tourist spot of Shimla. This museum has collected the ancient historical paintings, sculpture, coins and photographs. The visiting time is from Sunday to Saturday between 10 AM to 5 PM.
Kali Bari Temple:
The ancient temple dedicated to goddess Shayamla Devi. It is situated very near to mall road.
Market:
The Mall, Lower Bazaar, Tibetan Bazaar and Lakkar Bazaar are the main hot spots for marketing in Shimla. From these places you can purchase Himachaly shawls, metal or wooden items, Toys, Tibetan accessories and many other items.
There are many other tourist places for visit in Shimla like The ridge, Sankat Mochan Temple, Tara Devi Temple, Prospect hill, Summer Hill and Potter Hill etc.
