Havelis:
The great and grand Havelis are one of the major monuments of Jaisalmer. Nathmal ji ki Haveli, Salim ji ki Haveli and Patwan ki Haveli are three major Havelis of Jaisalmer city. These Haveli was residence of Diwan Motata Nathmal, the than Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. It is considered as best architectural haveli in terms of grandeur. One interesting fact about this haveli is that the drawing of modern amenities like car, fans etc which is painted in Haveli.
It is said that architect brothers (Hathi and Lulu) was never seen such amenities in their life, and engraved with the help of others description who had seen it. This haveli is a perfect mixture of Rajput and Islamic architecture. Patwan Ki Haveli one of the finest pieces of architecture because it was the first haveli constructed in the city and secondly it is a cluster of five small havelis. Salim ji ki Haveli, third most important haveli of town, the main attraction of this building is a roof, which has been constructed in the form of Peacock.
Gadsisar Sagar:
The water restore lake is also a major attraction of the Jaisalmer city. This lake is situated outskirt of the city. This beautiful lake was built around 1400 AD, by the than Maharaja of Jaisalmer. Later in the end of 19th century, a beautiful gateway, along with Krishna temple, was built by royal courtesan named Tillon, therefore known as ‘Tillon ki Prol’.
Camel Safari:
Jaisalmer has a wide range of desert area and without walk in such golden dust your Jaisalmer journey will be incomplete. This journey can be completed with a camel safari.
