Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal:
This is a one of the main railway stations of Mumbai, popularly known as VT (Victoria Terminus). This is a cities most exuberant building, looks like a royal palace rather than a railway station. This luxurious building was designed by Frederick Stevens, as headquarter of the great Indian Peninsular Railway Company and was completed in 1887.
Elephanta Island:
These ancient structure situated in an island little away from the Mumbai city. In actual Elephanta is a caved into the solid rock of the island is the series of ornate Shaivite temples, covered in ornate carving of Hindu deities. Except Monday every day tourist boats heads out from the Gateway of India to the island and charges a very nominal fare.
The Gateway of India, Mani Bhawan, National Gallery of Modern Art, and St. Thomas’ Cathedral are some other famous tourist spots in Mumbai.
